Bill Would Restrict Cold Remedy Purchases

State Senator Tom Weatherwax has filed legislation that would restrict the sale of a common over-the-counter cold remedy. The medicine is known by the brand name Sudafed and it’s used to make the illegal drug methamphetamine. Weatherwax's bill would require you to get the cold remedy from the pharmacist, present photo identification and sign a record book.
