Warsaw Woman Ordered to Make eBay Restitution

The Kosciusko Circuit Court has ordered a Warsaw woman to pay more than $239,000 to 121 people for failing to deliver laptops and high end cameras the people purchased via eBay. According to a news release from the Indiana Attorney General's office, the court also prohibited Nikki Brindle from selling goods over the Internet until she has paid the sum in full. The court ordered Brindle to make monthly payments of $500 to the Indiana Attorney General’s office. The office will distribute the money to the eBay buyers. The state sued Brindle after eBay buyers complained to the Attorney General that Brindle had taken their money for items she never shipped and would not provide refunds.

This is a consent judgment that was settled out of court. This judgment was approved and entered by a court by consent of Nikki Brindle and the other parties upon agreement. Nikki Brindle is not completely prohibited to sell on the internet, only temporarily limited to what she sells per agreement between Nikki Brindle and the other parties.

Here is the verbatim wording of the Attorney General's news release: "The Kosciusko Circuit Court has ordered a Warsaw woman to pay $239, 451.84 to 121 consumers for failing to deliver laptops and high end cameras the consumers purchased via eBay. Nikki Brindle is also prohibited from selling goods over the Internet until she has paid the sum in full." If that statement is incorrect, perhaps Ms. Brindle should contact the Attorney General and request a retraction.

For further confirmation of the above comment, please review the original court document and not just the press release. The press release does not contain complete information.

Well, how about pointing us to this judgement "anonymous", if that is your real name. I happen to be one of the people screwed by this woman and I think this agreement is an insult to the honest people who sent her money. I am out just over $2000 and this woman is given a judgement which gives her almost 40 years to pay back the money interest free?? Try to get a loan like that!

She and her husband should be divested of all property, the proceeds distributed and THEN she should pay $500/month to make up the difference if any...with interest added. I have basically been unemployed for just over a year right now because I lost most of my clients due to the lack of the laptop she repeatedly promised was on it's way. My reputation and my business was trashed and this is her punishment?! Let's just say I'm stunned at the judgement and would love to see the actual court papers...

I too was duped by NIKKI BRINDLE and would like to know why I have received no letter to say I would be repaid. WHY? Am I worthy of my 2550.00 she stole from me?
