Crash Causes Gas Leak, Forces Evacuation, Road Closing

Whitley County police had to evacuate a couple homes and close down a state highway for about four hours this morning… after a one-car crash caused a major gas leak. It happened just after two a.m. on State Road 109. Until crews could repair the leak, police shut down 109 between U-S 30 and County Road 200-North. It reopened by about six a.m. Police say the crash itself caused only minor injuries.
