Big Fire Closes U.S. 6 in Noble County

Police closed a portion of U-S Six west of Kendallville this morning, after a big fire broke out at a steel heat-treating plant at about 3 a.m. About a dozen fire departments from Noble and Lagrange Counties responded to the fire, which was just coming under control at about five this morning. Police closed U-S six between its east junction with State Road Nine and its west junction with State Road Three. Dispatchers expected the highway to be closed well into the morning.
