Injured Moped Rider Identified as Silver Lake Resident

Wabash County police have identified a man who was injured in a moped accident yesterday afternoon. At about four o'clock this afternoon, police confirmed that the man is a 33-year-old resident of Silver Lake. He was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital after a car collided with his moped at about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. The Wabash County Sheriff's Department says it got a call from a citizen who suggested that the victim was the Silver Lake man. They were able to use that lead to confirm his identity.
