Interest in Ballroom Dancing Increases in Area

Ballroom dancing is making a comeback nationwide and in the Q101 area.

Ballroom Dancing Instruction in the Q101 Area

• Winona Lake Senior Center. Ray and Barbara Gsell (pronounced, “Zell”) are amateur instructors who teach six-week classes. They teach classes for both beginners and intermediate dancers. • Personal Dance Training, Columbia City. Susan Davison operates a private ballroom dance studio in Columbia City. She primarily offers private lessons, but occasionally offers group lessons to her students. Davison is a professional instructor and former competitor who has taught for nine years. Davison says her fees are “toward the affordable end” of the typical $25 to $90 per hour range for private lessons. • Fort Wayne Community Schools. Davison also teaches a six-week ballroom dancing class through the Neighborhood Connection continuing education division of Fort Wayne Community Schools.
