Peru Man Dies in Mississinewa Lake
Conservation Officers and State Police divers recovered the body of a Peru man from Mississinewa Lake in southern Wabash County this morning. According to a news release from the Department of Natural Resources, 48-year-old James V. Wright had been swimming with friends yesterday. His friends reported him missing at about 6 p.m. Divers searched for Wright then but called off their search because of darkness. They returned this morning and found Wright’s body in six feet of water about 10 feet from shore. The Wabash County Coroner’s Office will investigate exactly how Wright died.
