Several Area Venues Offer Ballroom Dancing

If “Dancing with the Stars” has made you want to hit the dance floor yourself, there are several places for ballroom dancing in the Q101 area.

• North Webster Community Center. About eight times a year, the Warsaw Ballroom Dance Association hosts a dance at the North Webster Community Center. The dances are open to the public. The next dance is September 17. For more information, contact association President Ray Gsell at (574) 269-2287 or email him at rg0328@comcast.net. The events page of the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau also lists the association’s dances. Just search the page for the word, “ballroom.”
• IPFW and other venues. The Fort Wayne chapter of the U.S. Amateur Ballroom Dancing Association (USABDA) hosts a monthly dance at the IPFW Walb Memorial Ballroom that’s open to the public. The next dance is July 9 and will feature the rumba. Columbia City ballroom dance instructor Susan Davison lists the USABDA dances and others on her web site.
