Area Celebrity, Sportscaster Chris Schenkel Dies

Well-known sportscaster and Kosciusko County resident Chris Schenkel died yesterday at the age of 82. Schenkel had battled emphysema for the past couple years. He lived on Tippecanoe Lake near Syracuse and was born in the Huntington County town of Bippus.
