Kosciusko Red Cross Chapter Seeks More Volunteers

Red Cross logo graphic In the past week, the Kosciusko County chapter of the American Red Cross has trained more than 30 new disaster response volunteers. Chapter Executive Director Larry Peppel says 13 volunteers from his chapter have already deployed to the Hurricane Katrina disaster area… six more leave today… and two more depart tomorrow. Peppel says the vast majority of the volunteers heading south are brand new. He’s still looking for more people who’d like to take a four-hour course in disaster response. If you'd like to learn how you can help, call the Kosciusko County chapter at (574) 267-5244 or visit the chapter's web site.
