Local Tax Revenue Increases
Governor Daniels announced today that the 89 counties with one of three allowed county income taxes will receive an average 18.8 percent more money in 2006 than in 2005. State officials say Hoosiers on average reported increases in income as compared to 2004. Kosciusko County's tax revenue increased by 28 percent, Whitley County's went up by 22 percent, Huntington County's revenue increase by 12 percent and Wabash County saw a 12 percent increase.
