Red Cross Reports on Local Katrina Response

The executive director of the Kosciusko County chapter of the American Red Cross provided an update today on local activities to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Larry Peppel says local donors have given more than $50,000 to the Red Cross disaster relief fund. Peppel also says more than 70 people have volunteered to receive training in disaster response and 26 local Red Cross volunteers have deployed to the disaster area.
