West Nile Activity Increases
State health officials reported today an increase in West Nile virus activity. One human case has occurred in Jackson County and labs have found the virus in mosquitoes and dead birds in 19 additional counties. Among those counties, the virus has been found in one dead bird in Kosciusko County. The virus has not yet been found in Whitley, Wabash or Huntington Counties.
