Huntington Fireplace Factory to Expand

CFM Corporation has announced that it plans to consolidate its North American fireplace manufacturing operations in Huntington. It will expand its Huntington plant and create more than 210 new jobs. CFM says it will close its Ontario manufacturing plant and invest nearly $4.5 million in the expansion of its Huntington plant. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered the company up to $2.4 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $145,000 in training grants based upon the company’s announced job creation plans. The City of Huntington offered the company property tax abatement worth more than $637,000. Governor Mitch Daniels joined CFM executives at the Huntington plant for this morning's announcement.
