Huntington Schools Expand Single-Gender Classes

The Huntington County Community school board has approved continuing and expanding single-gender language arts classes. Riverview Middle School will continue to offer such classes in the sixth grade and expand the program to the seventh grade. School officials say students in single-gender classes have gotten better grades and had better attendance than those in mixed-gender classes.
