New Fee Irks Motorcycle Owners

Some motorcycle owners, including Governor Mitch Daniels, are angry about a new ten-dollar fee they have to pay to register their motorcycles. The fee is part of the new state budget and it will pay for research into spinal cord and brain injuries. Daniels says motorcycle accidents cause less than one percent of such injuries and he didn’t realize the fee was buried in the budget bill when he signed it.
