Angry Taxpayers Complain to State Commission

Dozens of taxpayers and local officials complained to a state commission about property taxes yesterday. They spoke at the first of a series of hearings by the Commission on State Tax and Finance Policy. Republican Senator Luke Kenley of Noblesville chairs the commission He said, "We plan to have as many meetings as we need to have this summer and fall to deal with this issue." The commission could end up recommending different ways of providing relief and reforming the system.
