Babysitter Sentenced for Beating Infant

A 21-year-old Silver Lake man got four years in prison and two years on probation yesterday for beating his girlfriend’s one-year-old son while he was babysitting the child. Christopher Powell had pleaded guilty to battery causing serious bodily injury under the terms of a plea agreement.
