Bullet Hits Warsaw Postal Carrier
Investigators are looking into the shooting of a rural Warsaw postal carrier. Police say carrier Danelle Trier suffered minor injuries when a .22-calibre bullet hit her in the head. She told police she didn’t even know she’d been shot until doctors later removed the bullet. Police say they believe a bullet from a 17-year-old boy's rifle accidentally hit Trier while he was shooting at squirrels. The shooting happened June 30th, but the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department didn’t release any information about it until yesterday. Postal inspectors have taken over the investigation and no one has been arrested.
