Weekend Crash Kills South Whitley Man

A two-vehicle crash in southwestern Whitley County killed a 29-year-old South Whitley man over the weekend. Whitley County police say Craig Saltsman was driving a corvette on County Road 950-West Saturday evening, when the driver of a Ford Ranger pick-up failed to yield at a stop sign on County Road 400-South and collided with the Corvette. The Corvette then caught fire. Nineteen-year-old Columbia City resident Andrew Kessie drove the truck. E-M-S took him to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment of a head injury.
