Columbia City Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A 20-year-old Columbia City man died last night after a single motorcycle collision. According to a news release from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Marc Nickolson was riding along Whitley County Road 300-East at about 9:30 last night when a deer ran in front of his motorcycle. Police say Nickolson lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. He died at the scene of head injuries. He had not been wearing a helmet.
