Huge Blast Damages Several Homes

A huge explosion leveled a house north of South Bend last night. The blast also damaged at least eight other homes, some of which were blocks away. People miles away reported feeling the shock wave. One man who was inside the home suffered what an official calls serious burns. A helicopter flew him to a burn unit in Kalamazoo. Although some firefighters believe a natural gas leak might have caused the explosion, investigators have yet to confirm the cause.
