Killer of Garrett Woman, 91, Sentenced

A judge has sentenced a man to 65 years in prison for killing a 91-year-old Garrett woman. Forty-nine-year-old Ricky Vires had pleaded guilty to murder through a plea agreement. He said he pushed Novella Tarlton after she surprised him while he was burglarizing her home last May. She suffered a head injury that killed her about two weeks later.
