Poll: Hoosers Want Property Tax Abolished

A statewide poll released yesterday finds strong support for eliminating Indiana’s property tax and using the state’s $1.28 billion budget surplus to offset property tax increases. Some 67 percent of those surveyed in a poll by Indianapolis television station WISH answered "yes" to the question, "Should the state budget surplus be used for property tax relief?" Fifty-five percent of those surveyed said they favored eliminating the property tax.
