State Senate Passes Gambling Expansion
The State Senate has passed a bill that would allow Indiana bars and taverns to offer pull tabs and other low-stakes gambling to their customers. Tavern owners have argued that they should be able to offer the gambling, because nonprofit organizations that have bingo licenses already can. A version of the bill has already cleared the House. The Senate bill’s sponsor says he wants a conference committee to work out a compromise between the two versions.
