Man Allegedly Steals Gary Police Car

Police in Lake County say a 39-year-old Arizona man stole a Gary police car and led police on a chase on the Indiana Toll Road. Police say the man asked for a police escort to a bus station, saying he feared gang members were following him. Police say as an officer was preparing to give him a ride, the man broke a window in the officer’s patrol car and stole it.
