Republicans Announced Modified Property Tax Bill

G-O-P lawmakers from both the House and Senate announced yesterday a modified property tax relief and restructuring proposal. They say their new bill would provide immediate and lasting property tax relief. Governor Mitch Daniels says he’s prepared to sign the bill if the legislature passes it. Democratic House Speaker Patrick Bauer says more negotiations are needed.
