Handcuffed Man Flees in Squad Car

Police in east-central Indiana’s Hancock County shot a man who allegedly stole a police car yesterday while handcuffed. Police say they put the 18-year-old Indianapolis man in the front seat of a squad car after finding drugs in his car during a traffic stop. He managed to get his hands in front of him and drove off in the squad car. Police say the man suffered a bullet wound to his arm that is not life-threatening.
