Indy Man Charged in Infant Scalding

Police have charged an Indianapolis man with neglect after his girlfriend's 17-month-old daughter reportedly suffered second and third-degree burns in the bathtub. According to court records, the 19-year-old man told police he left the child in the scalding hot bathwater for at least 15 minutes. The child is in serious condition at Riley Hospital for Children, where she will probably require several surgeries.
