Leesburg Deaths Ruled Homicide-Suicide

The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office has determined that a homicide and suicide killed a rural Leesburg couple. According to a news release issued late this morning by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Kosciusko County Coroner John Sadler has determined that 51-year-old Loretta A. Habegger died of homicide by multiple gunshot wounds. The coroner also found that 51-year-old Michael L. Habegger died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Family member found the Habeggers' bodies in the couple's home on Kosciusko County Road 700 North yesterday morning. According to the today's news release, family members had not had contact with the couple, nor had Michael Habegger been seen at work since May 26.
