Head-On Crash Near Mentone Kills 2

A head-on crash in southwestern Kosciusko County killed two people yesterday afternoon. It happened on State Road 25 near Mentone. Police say 18-year-old Nathan Creighton of Warsaw was trying to pass another vehicle and hit a full-size pickup truck head on. Officials pronounced two of Creighton’s passengers dead at the scene -- 20-year-old Ryan Holloway of Rochester and 18-year-old Bryant Scott of Tippecanoe. A helicopter flew Creighton and another passenger, 20-year-old Shawn Keckler of Rochester, to a Fort Wayne hospital, where they were in critical condition at last report. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
