New Levee Break in Southern Indiana Flood
Another levee broke on the White River in southern Indiana yesterday. The break led officials to advise residents the rural community of Capehart in Daviess County to evacuate. President Bush has approved individual assistance programs for eight Indiana counties hit by flooding or tornadoes in the past two weeks. Indiana University says the recent flood did about a million dollars of damage on campus, including a sinkhole in the south end zone of the football field at Memorial Stadium.
