Police have arrested four men on charges related to the robbery and murder of a Waterloo flea market owner at this store. Police say a 51-year-old Florida man has admitted killing 63-year-old Raymond Morrow May 15th with the help of men from Corunna, Orland and Hudson. Police say the Corunna man owed the victim four thousand dollars.

The National Association of Realtors says sales of existing homes in an 11-state region including Indiana fell 10 percent last month as compared to a year ago. The organization also reports that the median sales price of existing homes in the region dropped 12 percent.

A fire at the site of a leaking gas line in Warsaw sent flames 15 feet into the air last night. The fire on Parker Street burned for hours while NIPSCO crews installed new valves to shut off the flow of gas. The fire started at 6 p.m. and crews were on the scene past 2 a.m.

A 38-year-old Columbia City woman pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges related to an alleged sexual relationship with an underage boy. At the time of the alleged crimes, the woman was director of a summer camp in Whitley County and the boy was a counselor there.

State police arrested a 23-year-old Churubusco woman and a 28-year-old Wolf Lake man on methamphetamine-related charges yesterday, after a traffic stop near Churubusco. Police say the van the woman was driving contained items associated with meth production, including anhydrous ammonia.

North Manchester police say a resident died Monday when a tree limb fell on him as he was mowing his lawn. Steve Bellinger died at the scene. He was 56 years old.

Conservation officers report that an Elwood man might lose the full use of one of his fingers after a weekend boating accident on a Kosciusko County lake. The 44-year-old man’s pinky finger reportedly got caught in the safety railing of a pontoon boat as the man jumped into Yellow Creek Lake Saturday afternoon.

A 23-year-old Fremont man faces a charge of battery on a police officer this morning after he allegedly threw a rock at a state trooper during a pursuit yesterday. The trooper was arresting the man for allegedly stealing a car from a DeKalb County man at gunpoint. The trooper received treatment for minor injuries.

A 50-year-old Rome City man faces a charge this morning of operating while intoxicated causing injury after a crash north of Kendallville yesterday. State police say the man failed to yield at a stop sign and his pickup truck crashed into the driver’s door of an S-U-V on State Road three, injuring two people in the S-U-V.

Police have fatally shot an Indianapolis man who reportedly came at officers with a machete. The man was in a home where officers had been sent to investigate a report of a man behaving erratically. Police say an officer fired after the man failed to comply with orders to drop the knife.
